Frequently Asked Questions

Are dogs allowed at the festival?
Unfortunately, dogs aren’t allowed on the festival grounds.

Is the festival kid friendly?
You bet!! We will have inflatables, and a foam pit along with several other kid friendly activities.

How much is a child’s ticket?
Children ages 9 and under get in free.

How much are tickets?
Pre sale weekend passes are $20. At the gate they are $30

Can I buy just a day pass?
Day passes are sold at the gate only. Friday ticket is $15. Saturday ticket is $25

What does the ticket include?
Ticket includes entrance to the festival, the kid’s area and all entertainment including Rodney Atkins on Saturday night.

Does the ticket price include food?
No. Just like other festivals throughout the area, a selection of food vendors will be available inside the festival grounds so you may purchase food at your convenience.

Do you get to sample the bbq?
On Saturday from 1-3pm, all visitors are encouraged to sample from 30 of the ShadeTree Cooking teams and vote for the best , helping to choose the winner of the first ever al.com People’s Choice Award.

Can I pass out campaign materials and/or other materials?
No. The WhistleStop Festival is a partner of Operation Green Team; therefore, printed materials for solicitation are not allowed.

Where can I park?
There are many places to park all around the festival area. Most places charge a small fee.

Will you take a debit card or credit card?
Unfortunately, we are not equipped at this time to handle card transactions; however, cash and checks are accepted.

Will there be ATM access?
Yes, and ATM will be on the festival grounds for your convenience. There are also three banks within a block of the Depot who each have ATM’s.

Is there still time to be a vendor?
Unfortunately, at this time, all of our vendor spots are full. Please keep us in mind for next year!

Can I buy alcohol?
Yes. For our 21 and over festival guests, alcohol will be available for purchase. A valid ID for proof of age is required.

I am coming from out of town and want to see the professional cookers. When is the best time to do that?
The KCBS Teams will begin their first turn-in at 12:30. Prior to that time, will be your best bet.
